FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of heat accumulating material consisting of calcium chloride hexahydrate CaCl2·6H2O distributed in the porous matrix made of silica gel with pore size 10-100 nm. Heat accumulating material is prepared by matrix impregnation with calcium chloride solution (concentration is 30-40% as silica gel moisture capacity) followed by drying at 200-250 C for 10-20 min and hydration in wet air (60-100% relative moisture for 8-10 h. Material is used in heat supply and conditioning systems. EFFECT: enhanced quality of material, improved method of production.
