FIELD: electrolytic production of aluminum. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has elongate hopper, conveyance mechanism, drive and discharge members. Hopper is divided by longitudinal wall into accumulating vessel and consumption cavity to eliminate loading created by a column of alumina on conveyance unit. Window defined between wall lower edge and hopper bottom allows alumina to flow by gravity from accumulating vessel into consumption cavity, where conveyance mechanism is mounted. Conveyance mechanism is made in the form of horizontal bar with pivotally secured blades made from non- magnetizable material for feeding alumina to discharge members, when bar oscillates along hopper.
