FIELD: sea transportation, in particular, transfer of cargo. SUBSTANCE: crane ship has two submarine bodies 1 connected with upper construction 3 through columns 2. Upper construction 3 has lower deck 5 where winches 6 are mounted. Winches 6 has hooks fixed on ropes 23 passed through deck 5. Retaining boards 9 mounted on middles of inner sides 8 of columns 2 are pivotally connected with working stems in columns 2. Boards 9 are provided with flexible coverings, elastic hermetically sealed hoses disposed between boards 9 and columns 2, with coverings and hoses being disposed outside boards. When transportation of superheavy loader 21 from moorage 22 to construction point of hydrotechnical construction is necessary, ship approaches cargo 21, with moorage 22 being passed between bodies 1, ropes 23 with hooks 7 are lowered onto cargo 21 to be attached to cargo 21, which is lifted by winches 6 to deck 5. Then winches 6 are slowed down. Boards 9 are brought into contact with cargo 21 by means of hydraulic cylinders to retain the cargo. When ship transits to construction point, procedure is conducted in reverse order, i. e. boards 9 are retracted into columns 2 and superheavy loader 21 is lowered to a predetermined place. Divers provide retaining and fixing of cargo 21 and release hooks 7. Then ship returns to port. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities of crane ship, increased capacity and enhanced reliability in operation. 5 dwg
