FIELD: fiber optics. SUBSTANCE: blanks of single-mode fiber light guide are made, which can keep polarization of radiation, by means of melting blank with two holes, inside which glass rods are inserted. Glass rods have high temperature expansion coefficient. Pressure is created in the holes of blank. Blank is melted to other with the rods at pressure, which 25-60 mm lower, than atmospheric pressure around the blank. EFFECT: improved reliability, improved efficiency. 1 dwg
