FIELD: decontamination of liquids. SUBSTANCE: decontamination is conducted in flow-through conditions simultaneously by glow discharge of DC voltage within 0.35 to 8.0 kV and current within 40 to 7200 mA and by ultrasound at a frequency of 20 to 30 kHZ, pressure in the discharge zone within 0.1 to 100 mm Hg and temperature below the boiling point of the liquid under treatment; one or both electrodes are located in the gas phase at a distance of 0.5 to 30 mm to the surface of the liquid under treatment.
