FIELD: decontamination of liquids. SUBSTANCE: additional electrodes of heavy metals are introduced in the liquid to be decontaminated before the zone of discharge, treatment is conducted in flow- through conditions at simultaneous action of glow discharge of DC voltage within 0.35 to 8.0 kV and current within 40.0 to 200 mA and ultrasound at a frequency of 20 to 30 kHz, pressure of 0.1 to 100 mm Hg in the zone of reaction and temperature below the boiling point of the liquid under treatment; one or both electrodes are located in the gas phase at a distance of 0.5 to 30.0 mm to the surface of the liquid under treatment.
