FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: cylindric rod 3 is mounted in axial space between mutually facing coaxial shafts 1 and 2 to be joined. The shaped ends of rod 3 are received in answered grooves 4 and 5 of face sides of shafts 1 and 2 and defined by two circumference arcs arranged in mutually perpendicular directions. The diameter of one of the circumferences is equal to the length of rod 3. The diameter of the other circumference exceeds the rod length. The center of circumference, the diameter of which is equal to the length of rod 3, is shifted in radial direction with respect to the rotation axis of shafts 1 and 2. The center of gravity of rod 3 is shifted in the direction opposite to the direction of the axes of shaft rotation. When rod 3 is disengaged with shafts 1 and 2 spontaneously, the center of rotation of the rod is out of coincidence with the center of gravity. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 dwg
