FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has casing, electric motor 4 mounted in the casing, shaft connected with the motor, tank 26 with flushing fluid 27, cylindric specimen 25 fixed on the end of shaft 9 and placed in tank 26 with flushing fluid 27, holder 16 with counterspecimen 17 placed in it, loading mechanism to press the counterspecimen against specimen 25 and force cell for measuring contact pressure between the rubbing surfaces and friction force. The counterspecimen is placed in tank 26 with flushing fluid. Holder 16 of the counterspecimen has two parts connected with an axle. The counterspecimen is fixed in one of them. The device has bearing 8, ring 20 fixed on a part of holder 16 with the counterspecimen and a rope embracing the ring. One end of the rope is tied to loading mechanism and the other one is connected to the force cell for measuring contact pressure between the rubbing surfaces and friction force. The free part of holder 16 for providing rotation of counterspecimen 17 is mounted in bearing 8. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements. 4 dwg
