FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: high-frequency power supply source can operate on commercial network given rectifier with filtering capacitor is available. Source includes high-frequency inverter providing ignition and burning mode of gaseous-discharge lamp. It has transistor, igniting and blocking capacitors, power transformer to which primary winding power junction of transistor is coupled and which secondary winding is connected with one lead to common point of igniting and blocking capacitors through diode and starting unit. Specific feature of source lies in presence of additional choke through which winding of current autotransformer is placed into circuit of secondary winding of power transformer. Other winding of current autotransformer is linked to electrode of transistor and shunted by second diode. Such design makes it possible to ensure dropping external characteristic and small commutation losses simultaneously. EFFECT: reduced commutation losses. 1 dwg
