FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: product: derivatives of 2,3-dihydropyrano[2,3-b] pyridine of the formula (I) where A lower alkylene and R hydrogen atom or group where A has indicate above meaning, or their salts. Reagent 1: 2-aminomethyl-2,3-dihydropyrano[2,3-b]pyridine of the formula (II) . Reagent 2: compound of the formula (III) where L removal group and A as indicated above. Process conditions: if necessary, in the presence of base and accelerating agent of reaction, in the medium of inert solvent followed by if necessary alkylation and isolation of the end product in the free form or as salt. 2-Aminomethyl-2,3-dihydropyrano[2,3-b]pyridine is synthesized by the following method: reagent 1: compound of the formula (IV) where T halogen atom. Reagent 2: potassium phthalimide. Process conditions: in the medium of inert solvent in inert gas atmosphere. Reagent 3: compound of the formula (V) . Reagent 4: 2-aminoethanol or hydrazine hydrate. Affinity of compound of the formula (I) to 5-hydroxytryptamine receptors was shown in experiments using membrane preparations of calf hippocampus (Ki= 1.0 nmole/l). 3H-Serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine) was used as radioactive labeled ligand. Synthesized compound is used in medicine as serotonin receptors. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
