FIELD: geological resistivity prospecting. SUBSTANCE: magnetic resonance is excited in deposit of sought mineral by means of generator loop with side L and its signal is measured on earth surface upon switching off excitation current at its different amplitudes. Magnetic resonance signal is first measured in center of generator loop, cover thickness of upper edge Z1 and that of lower edge Z2 of bed containing sought mineral is determined, then measurements are made at points spaced ro from center of generator loop which is determined as ro=0,6L+Z1+Z2/2. Parameters of lower levels containing sought mineral are determined using all measurement results. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 2 dwg
