FIELD: production of materials used in electronic equipment and quantum electronics. SUBSTANCE: method involves growing of monocrystals from at least two basic substances which are positioned separately; heating basic substances to temperature exceeding growing temperature; expanding vapors obtained during heating with expansion value of vapors of each substance being inversely proportional to concentration value of this substance in monocrystal to be grown; supplying expanded vapors to growing zone, where the vapors are mixed prior to being deposited onto seed. Apparatus has vessel for storage of basic substances. Vessel has at least two hydraulically isolated sections, each of them provided with at least one throttle discharge opening. EFFECT: increased homogeneity of monocrystals of solid solutions of compositions, which differ in partial vapor pressures by more than 10 times. 17 cl, 7 dwg, 2 tbl
