FIELD: recording and reproducing information. SUBSTANCE: method can be used in computer engineering and instrument making. method involves recording data by means of scanning over surface of recording layer of information carrier. Scanning is done by needle in mode of tunnel current which is modulated according to given code. Carrier of information has two layers. Reading of information is performed by scanning laser beam which wavelength provides photo effect for one layer of information carrier. Resulted photo electrons are amplified and detected. EFFECT: increased density of recording, increased speed, decreased wearing of carrier and increased durability of recorded information. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
