FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves forming outer fastening cylindrical enclosure from sheet material with main component being constituent of composition of alloy to be melted; positioning enclosure into die matrix; filling enclosure with burden and pressing; making electrode in the form of cone with angle of taper 1-5 deg to reduce falling down of burden and providing additional deformation of electrode by squeezing in the direction coplanar with cross section to increase density of electrode. Electrode surface is made with ridges oriented inside electrode to provide adequate engagement of burden with outer fastening enclosure. Metal chips are introduced into burden in an amount of 5-50% to improve reinforcement of burden components in pressed electrode. EFFECT: improved quality of electrode. 5 cl
