FIELD: separating materials. SUBSTANCE: mixture is fed to arc- like passageway 1 through branch pipe 6. The flow is separated into concentrated and clarified portions under the action of centrifugal forces. The mixture enters chamber 2. The abrupt expansion of the cross-section of chamber 2 results in significant decreasing of the flow rate. Chamber 2 has vertical walls. When the rate of the flow is less than the velocity of solid particles, the particles settle out due to gravity. The concentrated portion of the flow is discharged through branch pipe 9.
