FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making contact between reagent and whole blood sample to initiate chemical reaction with glucose in the sample that results in detectable dye concentration change which value is determined as sample glucose contents measure. The undiluted blood sample is initially introduced into micro-cuvette having at least one cavity for receiving a sample. The cavity is preliminarily treated inside with dry reagent. Chemical reactions take place in the cavity. Active ingredients of the reagent have hemolysis agent to act on glucose to the sample blood cells to be able to determine glucose contents as well as agents participating in chemical reaction and providing dye concentration change in the wavelength range beyond blood hemoglobin absorption zone. Absorption measurement is carried out directly on the sample in cuvette in the mentioned wavelength range. Single use pretreated cuvette with the reagent and photometer are also described. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of analysis. 7 cl, 8 dwg, 1 tbl
