FIELD: transporting. SUBSTANCE: cutting of the lateral part is exercised before the longitudinal cutting. The disk saws for the longitudinal cutting are mounted for displacement along the axis. The distance between each knife and the corresponding boundary of occurrence of the metallic cord must not exceed 0.15 of the occurrence width of the metallic cord in the casing. Each disk knife is made with concavities and projections uniformly located along its periphery. The length of each concavity is chosen equal to 0.1-1.5 of the projection length. Its depth is equal to 0.3-5 of the concavity length. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of the recovered casings. 4 cl, 4 dwg
