Abstract RU 2051445 C1

FIELD: superconductor electronics. SUBSTANCE: amplifier has long sandwich Josephson-structure gate incorporating first electrode, thin insulator layer, semiconductor or normal metal (weak bonding region), second electrode, and additional Josephson-junction gate formed by second electrode, additional thin insulator layer, semiconductor or normal metal (weak bonding region), and third superconducting electrode, all arranged in tandem on substrate. Superconducting leads passing input current are connected to narrow edges of second electrode, superconducting leads passing output current are connected to wide sides of first and third electrodes. Dimensions of Josephson-junction gates that build up current amplifier are almost or absolutely similar. Their length is greater and width is smaller than their Josephson penetration depth. Second electrode width is almost or absolutely equal to Josephson junction width; length of first and third electrodes is almost or absolutely equal to that of Josephson-junctions. Thickness of superconducting layers forming amplifier is smaller or almost equal to their London penetration depth. Amplifier affords current gain proportional to square ratio of length and penetration depth of its Josephson gates and is as high as 10. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities. 2 dwg
