FIELD: catalytic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with metal honeycomb body 1, preferably, catalyst carrier which consists of sheets 2 and 3, at least, partially provided with the first macrostructure determining shape of honeycombs and mechanical characteristics, and which, at least, partially provided with the second microstructure 5 at distance of 1 to 10 mm. Honeycomb body 1 has a lot of approximately channels 4 with the average channel width b through which liquid medium can flow in direction of flow S. To affect flow profile in channels 4, particular, for mixing flow, one part of sheets 2 and 3, at least, in particular zones has microstructures 5 which are set across at angle to flow directions. The second microstructures 5 are formed with sizes to cause transverse mixing and/or swirling in channels 4. The second microstructures 5 may be in form of troughs, convex troughs, swellings, grooves or the like, whose height or depth sizing 0.01-0.3 of average width b of channels 4. Microstructures 5 increase, i.e., conversion percent in catalyst of car of preset volume, and under certain conditions improve its mechanical characteristics. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 7 dwg
