FIELD: cellular bodies and methods of their manufacture. SUBSTANCE: the offered cellular body with axis along which liquid may flow and along which it is bounded from, at least, two opposite end sides has internal structure consisting of, at least, one sheet through which electric current may pass for heating, and each end side has, mainly, metal frame in which internal structure is secured. Located between internal structure and frame is electric insulation. In this cellular body, elements ensuring mechanical strength are separated from elements subjected to electric heating. Cellular body is simple in manufacture and possesses special strength. It is especially suitable for use as body of carrier of catalyst in the systems of discharge of exhaust gases of automobile.
