SUBSTANCE: method involves subjecting flow of powder material to throttling prior to introducing it into furnace; simultaneously effectuating regulation of flow rate by introducing secondary gas in the direction perpendicular to powder flow. Apparatus has transfer manifolds provided with portions smoothly narrowing within the range of from 25-40 mm to 6-8 mm. Apparatus is further provided with secondary gas flow rate regulator connected with by-pass line and unit for measuring the amount of powder material supplied through transfer manifolds.
