FIELD: obtaining of monocrystalline diamond composed of isotopically pure carbon-12 or carbon-13. SUBSTANCE: method involves growing pure monocrystalline diamond on monocrystalline substrate from isotopically pure carbon-12 or carbon-13; introducing monocrystalline substrate into reaction chamber; heating to temperature, at which diamond is formed; introducing gaseous mixture of hydrogen and hydrocarbon containing isotropically pure carbon-12 or carbon-13. As a result gaseous mixture is at least partially decomposed in reaction chamber and monocrystalline film is deposited on substrate.
