FIELD: recording ionizing radiation. SUBSTANCE: method involves the use of alkaline-halide crystalline material showing structure of NaCl type and modified with metal ions. The source of modifying metal: divalent nickel (concentration is 0.02-1.00 mole%) or one of the following elements: gallium, indium, thallium, palladium at concentration 0.1-1.0 mole%. Alkaline-halide crystalline material can be both mono- or polycrystal. Proposed material shows high sensitivity to ionizing radiation, ensures to obtain high space resolution and multiple reproduction of information without use of precious metals. EFFECT: enhanced quality and effectiveness of material. 4 cl
