FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves carbon chrome-plating of parts made, preferably, from constructional steels by conducting simultaneously diffusion saturation with carbon and chromium at temperature equal to normalization temperature; effectuating cyclic treatment in the middle of isothermal holding process and upon termination of this process, with cyclic treatment including cooling of saturated parts in air to temperature 20-30 C below steel martensite transition temperature; holding for 10-20 min at this temperature and heating to saturation temperature. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of parts. 1 dwg, 4 tbl
