FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is provided for surface treatment of metals and alloys and can be used for surface strengthening of machinery and tools, manufactured of die steels, in mechanical, metallurgical, chemical, tool-and-die and other industries. Rendering coat is diluted in water up to the paste-like condition; it is applied on part surface. Then it is implemented drying on air up to receiving of solid crust. Saturation from rendering coat is implemented at parts heating from 900°C up to 1150°C with keeping during 4-6 h. Then it is implemented tempering in oil from the saturation point and abatement at temperature 480-560°C during 1-3 h. Rendering coat contains following components correlation, wt %: ferrochrome 15-25, boron carbide 50-60, fine-dispersed graphite 10-15, bentonite 5-7, ammonium fluoride 2-3.
EFFECT: it is increased wear resistance and corrosion resistance of parts.
