FIELD: electron beam welding equipment. SUBSTANCE: method of electron beam welding comprises steps of performing a pulse width modulation of electron beam power, being extracted in a welding zone, with a frequency of modulation, being selected in accordance with a maximum oscillation frequency of alternative component of a current in an electric circuit of an article; realizing the modulation of the power, being extracted in the welding zone, by periodical deflection of the electron beam from the welding zone to a range of a welding bath, being solidified, in such a way, that the electron beam is being unfocused at deflection over a time period of its deflected state, sustaining a diameter of a spot of heating upon unfocusing of the beam, being equal to a width of a welded seam on a surface of a metal.
