FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electron beam welding. Welding is executed with through penetration and electron beam energy adjustment. In welding, through current pulse frequency and length are registered. Electron beam welding is performed with electron beam oscillation in frequency range of 300-2000 Hz by sine or linear law. Electron beam energy is adjusted to maintain mean length of pulses or the product of mean through pulse length by pulse frequency at definite level that ensures required weld formation.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and reliability of welding adjustment with through penetration of 5-40 mcm deep metal articles.
