FIELD: medicine, and namely, devices for irradiation of fluid media. SUBSTANCE: the method of irradiation of transplant cells by ultraviolet radiation consists in displacement of cell suspension in the means of transfer on a spiral path in a hollow tube relative to the longitudinal axis of operating source of ultraviolet radiation, ventilation of the cavity between the radiation source and means of transfer and collection of cell suspension after irradiation in the collector; source radiation is filtered out within 200 to 280 nm, turned on for calibration, stabilization and coming to the regime for a definite period of time before the beginning of delivery of cell suspension, and ventilation is accomplished by supplying air to the cavity between the radiation source and inner cylinder and taking up air from the cavity between the outer and inner cylinders. The method is accomplished by means of a device having two coaxial cylinders passing through ultraviolet radiation, cylinder, source of ultraviolet radiation installed along the axis, connected to an electric power source, means for ventilation with air of the device interior in the form of inlet and outlet ports, and a means for transfer of suspended cells using a hollow tube made of material passing through ultraviolet radiation and spirally wound on the outer cylinder; the inner or outer cylinder may carry the means for filtering in the form of a film or optical filter that does not pass radiation at a wavelength of 200 to 280 nm, and packing elements with a great number of holes for communication of the interiors with the atmosphere and with one another are installed coaxially with the elements of connection of the radiation source. EFFECT: enhanced stability of functioning at homogeneity of irradiation. 3 cl, 6 dwg
