FIELD: fire fighting facilities; fire extinguishers intended for localizing fires by delivering atomized fire extinguishing powders to zone on fire. SUBSTANCE: both design versions of fire extinguisher have readily destructible cylindrical shell with end face covers at both ends. Secured in covers is perforated cylindrical housing accommodating igniting unit, powder charge, inner diaphragm and plug. Mounted from outer side of housing is readily destructible outer diaphragm. Fire extinguishing powder is placed between outer diaphragm and shell. Housing perforations widen in direction towards periphery. In design version providing uniform distribution of powder in radial direction, housing is arranged along central axis of fire extinguisher and is uniformly perforated in radial and longitudinal directions. In design version providing directed action of powder, fire extinguisher is furnished with deflector fastened on shell partially overlapping side surface of shell, and perforated housing is displaced towards deflector and is perforated mainly in direction of powder delivery.
