FIELD: petroleum chemistry, catalysts. SUBSTANCE: catalyst has 3.9-6.1 g/l palladium catalyst (Pd); 2.34-7.625 g/l gold catalyst (Au) at the mass ratio gold:palladium = 0.6-1.25; 3.5-9.5 wt.-% potassium acetate ((CH₃COOK)), and silicon dioxide - the rest as carrier ((SiO₂)). Preferable ratio Au: Pd is from 0.7 to 1.05 and more preferable is from 0.85 to 1.05. Preferable content of potassium acetate is from 5 to 9 wt.-%. Catalyst is used for vinyl acetate synthesis.
