FIELD: chemical and petrochemical industries, production of catalyst for oxidation of sulfurous compounds in waste gasses by impregnation of calcined carrier with solutions of vanadium and iron salts with following drying and calcination. SUBSTANCE: as carrier they use aluminum gamma-oxide preliminary calcined under temperature of 700 - 800 C and having transportation pores volume - 1000 angstrom 0.05 - 0.08 volumetric cm/g. It is impregnated with solution of vanadium and iron salts with speed of 0.1 - 0.3 l/h per 100 g of catalyst with following drying and calcination under temperature of 680 - 770 C. Iron sulfate is used as salts of iron. Vanadium bisulfate is used as salts of vanadium. Metavanadate of ammonia is used as salt of vanadium and bisulfate of iron is used as salt of iron. Oxalate of vanadium is used as salt of vanadium and bisulfate of iron is used as salt of iron. Oxalate of vanadium is used as salt of vanadium and oxalate of iron is used as salt of iron. Salts of vanadium and iron are applied by successive impregnation and spraying of active components. Catalyst is produced by impregnation and spraying of mixture of active components salts.
