FIELD: petroleum refining industry. SUBSTANCE: conductance of oil or its mixtures is measured on two different frequencies of electromagnetic oscillations from 1.0 kHz to 5.0 MHz within temperature range from 0 up to 50 C. Main criterion of quality of oil or its mixtures is determined in agreement with relation of conductances on two frequencies. If necessary dielectric permittivity of oil or its mixtures is measured in addition on two different frequencies of electromagnetic oscillations from 2.0 kHz to 5.0 MHz within temperature range from 0 to 60 C. Criterion corroborating fact that tested product belongs to oil or its mixtures is determined by relation of dielectric permittivities for two frequencies.
