FIELD: CO2 lasers for machinery, mining and other industrial applications. SUBSTANCE: device uses closed circuit of gas population, which is ionized by electronic beam. Device has cathode and anode electrodes which are located in discharge chamber and are designed as grills. Gas flow is directed towards electrodes in direction of electric field between electrodes. Ionization source generates electronic beam which is directed opposite to electric field. Optical axis of cavity is perpendicular to gas flow and electric field. Dielectric screens are inserted in space between electrodes directly in discharge area in perpendicular to electrode planes. These dielectric screens are made from porous ceramics and their processed surface is directed to inner side of gas discharge chamber. EFFECT: increased functional capabilities. 2 dwg
