FIELD: metallurgy, particular, metal continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: liquid metal from teeming ladle is transferred to vacuum chamber, where residual pressure is attained. Metal is treated in vacuum chamber by carbon deoxidation and transferred to the intermediate ladle through discharge branch pipe and further on, to mold. Introduced into intermediate ladle at the beginning of filling of intermediate ladle, sealing of discharge branch pipe with liquid, and also in the period and after attaining the required residual pressure in the vacuum chamber is aluminum in form of, for instance, granules, wires, small pigs in the amount of 150-500 g per ton of steel, and introduction of aluminum is discontinued upon attaining the required residual pressure in the vacuum chamber after efflux from intermediate ladle of metal amount corresponding to 0.5-1.5 of the working volume. During successive change of teeming ladles and disturbed residual pressure in vacuum chamber aluminium is introduced into intermediate ladle in the amount of 100-300 g per ton of steel. Introduction of aluminum is started from the moment of vacuum chamber seal upset and ended after the chamber sealing and efflux from intermediate ladle of metal amount corresponding to 0.3-1.0 of its working volume. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
