FIELD: methods for identification of produced articles, objects of art, securities. SUBSTANCE: resonant spectral characteristics of object are detected by its exposition to coherent pulse beam of tuned laser and recording of spectrum of reflected beam. Reflected light is received by semitransparent mirror and directed to spectral measuring unit with recorder. Resonant frequency is detected by minimal signal level. Tuned laser is tuned to wavelength which is equal to resonant frequency and pulses of coherent beam are generated and directed to modulator and focused on surface of labeled object.
