FIELD: catalytic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petrochemical synthesis, catalysts for synthesis of N-alkylated aromatic amines in the presence of hydrogen. Proposed catalyst has the following composition, wt.-%: copper oxide 9-15; manganese oxide 2.0-2.9; aluminium oxide - the rest for N-alkylation of aniline with methanol in the presence of hydrogen at 220-270 C. Proposed catalyst ensures to carry out N-alkylation of aniline with methanol at aniline conversion up to 98.8%, yield of N-methylaniline is 96.3%. Catalyst retains activity for 3000 hr without regeneration. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness and quality of catalyst.
