FIELD: railway transport; mobile control-and-measuring laboratories. SUBSTANCE: device has high frequency generator, switch, eddy-current transducer, four amplitude detectors, four voltage compensators, three adders, six subtractors, bipolar detector, seven scaling amplifiers, two-channel peak detector, comparator, zeroing pulse shaper and two storage units. Transducer has two pairs of inductance coils placed on parallel laid-on planes and made in form of extended rectangular windings. Coils of each pair are joined through one of longer bases forming longitudinal axes of pairs. Pairs are arranged with their longitudinal axes square to each other and are aligned by centers in vertical axis of symmetry of transducer. Outputs of second, fourth, fifth, and seventh amplifiers, third adder and sixth subtractor are information outputs of device. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of diagnosing. 5 dwg
