FIELD: nuclear physics. SUBSTANCE: method refers to experimental studies in field of radiation medicine, radiation geology. Method of determination of spectrum of gamma radiation is based on used on use of silicon detector. Thickness of sensitive layer should be not less than 2 mm, the rest of dimensions of this layer are not less than thrice as big as thickness. Detector is mounted so that smallest side of its sensitive layer is perpendicular to flow of measured radiation. 200-600 V voltage is fed to detector. Measurements are carried out with threshold not less than 30 keV with subsequent differentiation and conversion into matrix form.
