CONNECTING HEAD Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: medical equipment. SUBSTANCE: plastic head for contrivance for chosen syringe of standard chuck 8 has neck 9 with flange 10. The neck is closed by rubber membrane 11, fixed pressure-tightly in opposition to flange 10 by means of metal cap, which has ends expanded behind the flange. The plastic head has bore 2 for taking neck 9 of chuck 8, inside which bore 2 has diameter, providing tight fit to metal cap 12. The head is provided with protrusions 3 and 16 fixed behind the edge of metal cap 12, when neck 9 is introduced into the bore. Outer profile of plastic head is adapted to the type of syringe which is going to be used with the chuck. Plastic head is provided with thread 5 and 18, which is coaxial to the bore, to take needle bushing 17 in such a manner, that the needle would punch membrane 11 of chuck 8 when bushing 17 is screwed upon thread 5 of the plastic head.
