FIELD: electric arc welding. SUBSTANCE: optimum complex alloying of weld seam metal is carried out by means of electrode rods and coating. Wire is used in manufacture of electrode rods containing alloying elements in the following ratio, mass %: carbon 0.14-0.22; silicon 0.2-0.8; manganese 0.8-1.4; chromium 1.0-1.5; nickel 1.8-2.6; molybdenum 0.4-0.7; titanium 0.05-0.2; iron, the balance. Electrode coating has the following components, mass %: marble 52-60; fluorite concentrate 22-30; potassium carbonate 3-6; bentonite 1.4-3.2; ferrosilicon 4.5-8.5; ferromanganese 2-6; ferrotitanium 1.2-5; ferrochromium 1.2-5. EFFECT: increased strength and hardness of applied metal before and after thermal treatment with provision of required strength and ductility, enhanced operation reliability and quality of weld seams. 3 tbl
