FIELD: welding processes and equipment, possibly manufacture of electrodes with thick coating for manual electric arc surfacing of layer of high hardness steel.
SUBSTANCE: electrode includes rod of low-alloy steel wire and coating containing, mass %: marble, 11.0 -16.0; rutile, 12.0 - 17.0; fluorspar, 4.0 -7.0; field spar, 2.0 -3.5; carbon containing ferrochrome, 1.0 -1.6; ferrovanadium, 0.1-0.25; ferrosilicium, 1.5 -2.6;ferromanganese, 8.0 - 10.0; ferrotitanium, 1.2 - 2.4; organic plasticizers, 1.0 -1.9, iron powder, the balance. Such electrodes provide enhanced rigidity and wear resistance of surfaced metal.
EFFECT: increased useful life period of restored parts operating in conditions of intensive friction and high loads.
