FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: electrode for manual arc welding on can be used when repairing articles made from carbon low-alloyed steel, e.g. railway transport component parts. The electrode coating has components in the following ratio in wt %: marble 10.0-21.0, rutile 11.0-20.0, fluorite concentrate 3.5-10.0, ferromanganese 4.5-10.0, ferrosilicon 2.0-4.8, ferrotitanium 0.5-3.5, chromium carbide 1.0-2.5, organic plasticisers 1.0-2.6, ferrovanadium 0.05-0.55, marshalite 1.5-5.8, iron powder - the rest.
EFFECT: use of the electrodes improves quality of welding on and prolongs service life of components, increases technological capabilities of welding on and the range of repaired components due to high resistance of the weld metal to formation of pores and cold cracks.
