FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: within this method nitrogen oxides are obtained, then they are absorbed by water solutions resulting in obtaining the product. Exhaust gas outgoing after the absorption is mixed with ammonia. It is purified by the reduction on a catalyzer. The gas flow is mixed with methane with the consequent heterogeneous oxidation of methane on a catalyzer at the volume ratio of methane to oxygen in the gas flow 0.39-0.45. The energy of the purified flow is recuperated in the gas turbine. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of the process at the expense of reduced idletime because of breakdowns; enhanced indicators of the plant reliability, enhanced degree of purification of the outgoing exhaust gas from the nitrogen oxides. 1 cl, 2 tbl
