FIELD: nitric acid production. SUBSTANCE: productivity control of nitric acid production plant including machine assembly with steam- turbine drive and gas recuperative turbine is distinguished by that, before operational condition is attained, 6-15% of total compressed air flow is directed into combustion chamber and the rest into contact apparatus, and, when operational condition is attained, 1-15% of air flow is directed into combustion chamber and the rest into contact apparatus. Mixture of nitrose gas with heated air obtained is passed through heat exchanger. EFFECT: facilitated productivity control. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
