FIELD: process of production of sodium nitrite out of nitrous gasses. SUBSTANCE: method of sodium nitrite production provides for nitrous gasses compression in compressor and absorption of nitrogen oxides by alkaline solutions under high pressure. In the case before compression nitrous gasses are cooled with formation of 12 - 25 % nitric acid and after compression using adsorption of $$$ part by nitric acid condensate produced during cooling of nitrous gas keep at inlet in alkaline adsorber mole ratio of $$$ in limits of 1.2 - 1.5 : 1.0. EFFECT: sodium nitrite production method allows to save amount of used ammonia and energy resource in the form of steam, cooling water and electric power. 3 cl, 1 dwg
