SINGLE-ENDED STABILIZING DC VOLTAGE CHANGER Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

Abstract RU 2069444 C1

FIELD: pulse-operated transistorized, electrically isolated DC voltage changers incorporating output voltage regulation provision. SUBSTANCE: device has power transformer 1, transformer 4 with primary winding 3, secondary winding 20, and control winding 6, six resistors 5,9,10,15,18,19, capacitors 8,12, diodes 11,13,16, transistors 14,17, rectifier diode 21, filter capacitor 22, comparison unit 23, and optocoupler 24. Conducting period of transistor 1 depends on desired level of instant value of its collector current and its cut-off period depends on time of full discharge of inductance coil of secondary winding 20 of transformer 4 into load. Output voltage is regulated by varying degree of conductive state of optocoupler 24 which changes conducting threshold of transistor 17. In second version of voltage changer, transistors do not operate in linear mode and ON-time of power transistor 1 is reduced. EFFECT: improved reliability of voltage changer, reduced dissipation power, mass, and size. 4 cl, 2 dwg
