SUBSTANCE: method for isolation of formation includes selection of wells for treatment by parameters of water cutting of well production and formation and formation heterogeneity. Subject to treatment are wells selected by the value of generalized functional of desirability of performance of treatment of bottom-hole formation zone. The function is calculated on the basis of parameters of water cutting of well production, formation heterogeneity, residual recoverable oil reserves of each well and values taken for each well from the chart of regulation of well operation by varying the conditions of withdrawal of oil by corresponding dependence.
