FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. SUBSTANCE: internal combustion engine has single-rotor expansion machine, two cylinders with pistons and valves playing the part of compressor, combustion chamber arranged in rotating spools. Outline of expansion machine working space is formed by external generating line with four vertices, and outline of rotor, by epitrochoid, thus forming four variable displacement chambers, two expansion and two supercharging ones. Each cylinder has two above-valve spaces isolated from each other. One of spaces is coupled with intake duct which has check valve and flap. Engine has braking torque increasing mechanism. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 4 cl, 11 dwg
