FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting emitter and converter-receiver at some known distance one from another on the surface of the area to be subjected to diagnostic examination, emitting, receiving and recording ultrasonic pulses and evaluating bone tissue state from some diagnostic parameter value. Half-wave duration of the pulse passed through is selected as the parameter. The emitter and receiver are placed on the same side with respect to the bone tissue area to be diagnosed and pressed with a force corresponding to the comparing unit operation threshold.
