FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: method comes to turning back adjuster 7, setting required clearance between shoes and wheel rims, and adjusting the length of automatic control device to maintain clearance within preset limits with wear of shoes, adjusting value of projection of brake cylinder rod and setting of stop of automatic control device in operating position to compensate for wear of shoes. Having adjusted the length of automatic control device, rod of brake cylinder is extended and fixed in position corresponding to required travel of rod at braking by means of template. Shoes are pressed to wheel rim by adjuster 7 simulating the braking, and then drive stop is brought to automatic control device and template is removed from rod. EFFECT: facilitated adjustment of brake shoe-to wheel rim clearance. 4 dwg
